Exhibition Challenge

SPIN THE DRESDEN PLATE

Put your own spin on the Dresden Plate block - stay traditional, make it modern, go arty - whatever! Here are the rules:

You must make a quilt (i.e three layers secured by stitching) which features a Dresden Plate as an integral part of the design.

The quilt can be any size or shape that will fit within a 36" square (and to keep things fair, we will measure!).

The quilt can be 3D but must be able to be hung for display.

It can be made by more than one person, but all makers must be named on the entry form.

You can create an original design or you can use a pattern designed by someone else. If you use someone else's design, you must give the designer credit on the entry form.

All piecing and appliqué techniques are welcome.

The quilting can be done by machine or by hand.

Embellishments and other surface art are allowed. Have Fun!
